Brandslave says make your own brand and display it proudly. This idea came to me whilst floating in the Indian Ocean during the 2000 Olympics and watching my fellow surfers display the brands that have perpetuated the surfing lifestyle. Surfing and snowboarding are the most brand conscious of all sports/arts where every piece of equipment is embossed with the soul less tag of a multinational clothing and “lifestyle” conglomerate.

Surely as the world becomes more homogenous and globalisation seeks to overtake us all the natural evolution of branding is to individualise the brand. Would you live in a house like everyone else? So why wear the clothes of everyone else? Why display the same brands to the same people? The subversion of this paradigm can start today with you. The confusion you will create must surely make this a worthwhile endeavour. Create brand anarchy, brand yourself.
